Find and Replace
Paste text, enter what to find and what to replace it with, then press Replace all. The tool reports how many replacements were made. Regular-expression mode supports groups, so “(\w+)@(\w+)” can be rewritten as “$2 at $1”.
This tool runs in an isolated frame on tools.freetoolspro.com. Your files and inputs stay on your device, and advertising on this page cannot read them.
Options
Without regex mode, the search text is matched literally and “$” in the replacement is kept as typed. Whole-word mode wraps the search in word boundaries. Searches run in a worker with a time limit, so a runaway expression cannot freeze the page.
Privacy
Your text is processed by a Web Worker inside the isolated tools.freetoolspro.com frame. It is not uploaded, logged or shown to advertising scripts on this page, and it is gone when you close the tab.
Common questions
Does replacement keep the original capitalisation?
No, every match is replaced with exactly the text you enter.
Which regex syntax is used?
JavaScript regular expressions with the Unicode flag.
